Word going around at Tuesday night’s SmackDown tapings tonight is that CM Punk had surgery on his arm last week.

Apparently Punk may be out of action for 4-8 weeks from the surgery. It’s been known that he’s been working hurt for at least a few weeks.

Punk will appear on Friday’s SmackDown with a sling on his arm.

No word on whether he’ll be off television during his recovery time.

CM Punk vs Kane – No Disqualification Match
During the match, the S.E.S Luke Gallows & the masked man attack Kane with CM Punk. Later on Kane got the upper hand when he fight back, he slam Luke Gallows against the ring post & chokeslam him through the announce table. CM Punk & Kane continue their attack all the way to the backstage to the merchandise stands. Kane put CM Punk through the table and through anything else that was in his way. CM Punk mange to get himself up and run out of the arena outside down the street, as Kane stood there starring with an upset look.

× × Over the Limit DVD extra!

– As seen at last month’s Over the Limit pay-per-view, CM Punk had his head shaved after losing to Rey Mysterio in a Straight Edge Society pledge vs. hair match. Since this time, Punk has donned a mask to the ring in order to hide his shaven head. While Punk’s fully shaved head has yet to be revealed on WWE programming, an extra on the newly released Over the Limit DVD set shows Punk completely bald. The extra is a “G-TV-like” segment showing an upset Punk with a bare head in the locker room. However, Punk quickly gets over his loss (and lack of hair) as he engages in a group hug with The Straight Edge Society.

As a few of you know by now, a farmilar name in the independent circut has recently passed away. Trent Acid passed away at the age of 29 at his home on Friday, the 18th. Trent worked in such promotions with the likes of Bryan Danielson, Kaval, and CM Punk. The wrestling world will miss him dearly.
